I would just adjust the VTF, outside of that, pre-mounted carts should be dialed in pretty well. Gratz again on the deckDo I need to adjust the VTA or the Azimuth at all? The clearance from the stylus to the record seems small and the tone arm lever doesn’t really have to go down that much before contact is made. The small instruction book mentions that if the table comes pre loaded with the UltraTracker that you don’t have to do anything. I’m guessing that the MasterTracker is also included.
Thanks! So I just need to raise it up a bit then?I would just adjust the VTF, outside of that, pre-mounted carts should be dialed in pretty well. Gratz again on the deck
Sorry, edited my comment a bit after remembering the weight isn't attached when it first arrives, lol. But, I would use the tried and true lined notecard method to check your VTA if you feel it's not right. Does it look parallel to the platter when you look at it from the side? Thanks! So I just need to raise it up a bit then?
The tracking force measured 2.8
That tracking force seems a little high, I would dial it back to 2.0 and see how it sounds, the recommended range on the MasterTracker is 1.8 - 2.2Thanks! So I just need to raise it up a bit then?

For reference, I'm using a different cart and went through setup. Still landed in a similar place with the arm being relatively low.Do I need to adjust the VTA or the Azimuth at all? To lessen the strain on the motor, I use my left thumb to get the platter rotating before I press the on button. One quick question. When I press the start the start button, there’s a slight vibration in the table until the motor gets up to speed. Is that normal and will that stop once the platter settles in?
I’ll give that a shot! Thank you!To lessen the strain on the motor, I use my left thumb to get the platter rotating before I press the on button.
The belt skips a bit initially without a kickstart. I believe most of us give the platter a spin by hand prior to turning it on.One quick question. This. And giving the platter a helping hand becomes second nature. The belt skips a bit initially without a kickstart. I believe most of us give the platter a spin by hand prior to turning it on.
I’ve been doing that and it’s been fine. Could it be because the belt is too thin and the platter too heavy? The belt skips a bit initially without a kickstart. I believe most of us give the platter a spin by hand prior to turning it on.
It’s because the belt is just a wee bit loose so it doesn’t pull on the motor shaft. It’s designed that way on purpose.I’ve been doing that and it’s been fine. Could it be because the belt is too thin and the platter too heavy?
