If you can afford a $400 record weight, you can afford a $50 Vinyl Center Hole Reamer. As i thought. Its due to some records having a slightly raised center.
Hey hon, what's that package? If you can afford a $400 record weight, you can afford a $50 Vinyl Center Hole Reamer.
Just add some Gruv Glide to the order, and that’ll smooth her over. No problems!Hey hon, what's that package?
A hole reamer.

Oooh, fancy. If you're going to toss it in a drawer, like me, this one does the job too:Guilty, pricey, works great, I stand by my decision

At my age I don't trust myself with a drill bit, I'll end up with an oval spindle hole for sure or I'll end up needing a 45 adapter for my 33'sOooh, fancy. If you're going to toss it in a drawer, like me, this one does the job too:

yep! I use something similar. Had a handheld x-acto blade pen. works perfectly to widen the spindle hole slightly.
Yep!
So, I want to run the MP500 for a while longer as it had less than 20 hrs on it when I got it. And the Master Tracker I used for approx 30-40 hrs.any first impressions?
Ah this is Interesting...this review claims a Ultratracker cartridge and it is dark with white lettering. This is the first time, other than my situation that I've potentially seen that (reference post #1372).how does it feel being aproved by john darko

If I had an “insurance event” and had to replace my VPI Traveler, the Ultradeck would be my choice versus a Technics. I believe Matt at VPI correctly predicted the market for such a turntable with the Traveler, but was probably a few years ahead of the market peak.we’ve always known, Dukey
I like my SD. Never heard a Cliffwood, but I think I'd like it too. @HayesWeighsIn prefers the Cliffwood to both the SD and UD.The Studiodeck is a superior American-made deck, IMO, to the VPI Cliffwood
I’ve had no issues. Grados are very polarizing. The “hate” camp finds any reason (real or imagined) to dump on them.ATTN Grado Folks: Do you all have pretty noticeable IGD with your carts on your UDs? Seems the internet is saying Grados are notorious for their IGD, any fixes to try? Anti-skate?
