Good movie but the original TV version with Alec Guinness blows it out the water
The funny thing is I actually enjoy the photo of the screen while watching as opposed to the poster/link. It’s weird because they are kinda the same thing but the a post of the image taken while in the act of watching seems a bit more substantial for whatever reason.I've been curious about something, and I'm not sure how to ask it without risking sounding like a dick, so let me just preface this by saying I'm genuinely asking out of curiosity and not to criticize: JCF also used to just post a movie poster image or IMDb link without commentary on a daily basis without saying anything about it. Is that just the movie equivalent of a "now spinning" post? Are these films you're watching for the first time? Rewatching? Are these conversation starters, or a running journal of what you've watched?
I take it as a conversation starter but also a bit of a BeReal-type thing. 'Here's what I'm doing right now!'I've been curious about something, and I'm not sure how to ask it without risking sounding like a dick, so let me just preface this by saying I'm genuinely asking out of curiosity and not to criticize: JCF also used to just post a movie poster image or IMDb link without commentary on a daily basis without saying anything about it. He’s insane in the brain.I'm sorry but the only B-Real I know was banned from SNL in 1993.
I have yet to see the Guinness version but sadly, the blu-ray (US version, at least) looks pretty bad. I do really like the newest version, even more than the first time i saw it back in 2011 when i got it on blu-ray. Wanted to watch it again over the years but never got around to it. Then a 4K was announced, got it and finally got to see it again. So i guess the next time i see it will be on yet another format lolGood movie but the original TV version with Alec Guinness blows it out the water
Yeah, i guess it's a bit like a "now spinning" post. This is the main movie thread so i figured it was the appropriate place. Some are rewatches, some are first time. I try to add some text (have a little on a few of them) but, being both autistic and ADD, I have always struggled to articulate how i feel about things and can take a really long time to write something (this post, for example) because i get distracted by all sorts of thingsI've been curious about something, and I'm not sure how to ask it without risking sounding like a dick, so let me just preface this by saying I'm genuinely asking out of curiosity and not to criticize: JCF also used to just post a movie poster image or IMDb link without commentary on a daily basis without saying anything about it. It's never bothered me, and on the contrary, I like knowing that someone on here is just watching something cool every dang night.Yeah, i guess it's a bit like a "now spinning" post. I’ve liked all Chazelle’s movies but he needs to chill a little bit.Everything I see from/about Babylon annoys the heck outta me.
I’m hoping Fabelmans will dilute the “let’s reward movies about how important movies are” academy voting block. That's Best Picture Winner Babylon, to you
Sounds like you need more jazz in your life.I’ve liked all Chazelle’s movies but he needs to chill a little bit.
I started watching this a few months back, but realized (Julia Ducournau's Raw was pretty nuts. This is also nuts and a bit WTF lol
Should definitely check out both, if possible.

That was something, especially considering what happened right before that hahaI started watching this a few months back, but realized (that I wasn't in the mood for it at the time. I should return to it soon. I did enjoy Raw a good amount.after the first, um, erotic car scene)
Well, wait did Barry Jenkins direct a movie this year? Maybe Warren Beatty read the wrong name again. That's Best Picture Winner Babylon, to you
