Movies

The only character I remember was the 3D.

And, I feel like I need at least 2.5 hours to work my way through a “small” bag of popcorn. I’ve probably thrown away or given away or taken home more popcorn than I’ve actually eaten in a theater. I will order a junior/child’s size if they have it. Regal theaters have wayyyy too much salt, so I don’t even try to finish. AMC has good popcorn. Landmark is even better and seems the most natural. But Cinemark is probably my favorite.
I'm the opposite. I get a "regular" popcorn and have to stop myself from finishing it before the trailers are over.

Same. Except that my wife and I get the largest size and it's gone before the film starts.

You guys are very considerate to try to finish before the movie starts so as to minimize any disruptive bag-rustling sounds during the film.

I would just feel antsy if I finished all my popcorn and then had to sit through a whole movie without anything to nibble on.

Funny thing is, seeing Avatar in the theater convinced me that 3D was just not something that I need, and I think I only have seen one 3D movie since. I figured "if this is supposed to be the peak of 3D, then, meh."

Hilariously enough, I think the most impressive bit of 3D I've seen in the modern age was in Drive Angry in 3D but even still, I've never been convinced. The only time I wind up catching 3D instead of 2D is strictly for scheduling reasons - if a 3D version is playing during the most convenient timing, I'll relent.

As a glasses wearer I'm extra disinclined toward 3D as wearing glasses over glasses is not particularly enjoyable.

When I am on a keto kick I will sneak a can of blue Diamond Almonds into the theater with me but when I am am being a chonky fatboy it’s a Large popcorn with extra buttery topping for the win.

My wife absolutely hates rustling noises during a movie so I think that IS why we try to finish our snacks so early.

I'm the opposite - I can't even start w popcorn until the trailers start so I have popcorn for the entire film. I love Alamo Drafthouse but hate that their only size popcorn is gigantic, inevitably if I'm at a movie alone I only finish half of it.

I will say that my parents are super cheap and never bought concessions at the movie when I was growing up but my wife always has to have a tub of popcorn for our movie experience, even if we've just eaten a huge meal right before.
