i went to a showing of watership down yesterday afternoon and i always forget how funny some dialogue and parts of the movie are. it was my first time going to this small, volunteer-run theater and hopefully i can support them more in the future.

Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber, Austin Powers, Wayne’s World, These we’re the endlessly quotable movies of my youth. My SO hates watching them with me because I say every punchline before it happens, which would admittedly be super annoying if the shoe were on the other foot.

Have any of you watched The Mysterious Benedict Society on Disney+? It has very strong Wes Anderson vibes, and despite being aimed at kids it has strong adult crossover appeal with the cast, story, and thematic approach. I'm almost done with season one and have really enjoyed it so far.
