Movies

I signed back up for AMC+ with the Prime Day promo to catch up on Shudder movies. Kicking it off with this reboot that I'd avoided. I made it through the first three last year, but they got so bad that it was tough watching.

Past Lives was sneaky emotional. People have been touting how devastating it is, so I was a little surprised at how un-verklempt I was watching it. But then I couldn’t describe it to my wife without crying and making her cry 😂
Yeah, I really liked it walking out of the theater and only found it more and more affecting the longer I sat with it.

Just wrapped up Nimona a bit ago. Super cute!

It's surprising to hear that this almost never made it to release after Disney shuttered Blue Sky, but super glad someone swooped in and rescued it.

I enjoyed it too.

Late to the discussing, but I don't think the 2020s are off to a bad start at all. Even 2020 had a lot of great films, imo.
