Inspired by my recent Barbenheimmer watch in theaters I've gotten in the groove of watching movies at home. The past month or so I've watched:

Barbie
Oppenheimer
Lady Bird
Frances Ha
Skyfall
Dunkirk
The Town
My Cousin Vinny
The Fugitive
Rocky III
Mission Impossible - Fallout
National Lampoon's Vacation
The Devil's Advocate
Heart of Stone
Guardians of the galaxy 3 (couldn't finish it)

Also set foot in a cinema earlier today for the first time since Nov 2022 when i wasted a gift card to see Black Adam. Saw Oppenheimer which was great! Plan on seeing Barbie at some point when the crowds are smaller.

Also set foot in a cinema earlier today for the first time since Nov 2022 when i wasted a gift card to see Black Adam. Saw Oppenheimer which was great! Plan on seeing Barbie at some point when the crowds are smaller.

I remember this movie kicking ass but it has been years.

I haven't seen it since it came out on DVD and i don't think i was particularly impressed back then but i liked it a lot more this time around.

I watched The Box - what a weird movie. It felt somewhat M Night-ish but with a serious undertone.

What was the reason you couldn't finish Guardians? I loved it.

The animal cruelty and over the top CGI...just couldn't hang. I'm pretty much out in general with Marvel, thought I would jump back in since I loved the first Guardians.

Am guessing that's the direction James Gunn is taking DC as well. To the darker days.

Agreed - I finished the movie but not one I’d rewatch - far too dark - no way kids could watch it imo

Interesting. The Guardians films are my favorite of the MCU. I consider the second one to be better than the first. The third one was tough to watch due to the animal cruelty but I thought that quality wise it was on par with the first two films. Plus Drax is my favorite character in the MCU.

Yep a good film BUT not an enjoyable watch really in the end - just overdid the dark stuff

Reading it’s Wikipedia page the creators behind into the Spiderverse wanted to include Italian Spiderman as a character but since Marvel didn’t own the rights it was a no go.

Marvel should throw a bunch of $$$ at the Italian Spiderman creators and then have Francesco Francavilla turn it into a noirish comic. I would read the heck out that.
