As has unfortunately become a personal tradition, I missed the signup for Secret Santa yet again.
I loved seeing all the great records y'all are circulating all over the world.
This pristine place has no business existing in this world, but we're all too dumb to know any better.

nicely wrapped record #1 is oneida - expensive air. can't say i've heard of them, but the description is promising - anything that mentions psychedelic is probably going to be in my wheelhouse.
nicely wrapped record #2 is the cure - faith. having literally just sent @ayayrawn disintegration, a record i didn't even really try to describe since it's just perfect, opening this gave me a chuckle. yes, my cure collection is somehow severely lacking, so i am very grateful for this one.
also, you and i have similar handwriting.

I really wanted to give you a Xmas record as you always start the Xmas spins challenge and you didn't seem to have too many in your collection. The Sharon Jones is one of my v v favourites and is just so much fun, and upbeat. Your local didn't have it so I went via Amazon, and glad you got to play it before Christmas.
You're right that there's nowhere for me to hide with this one. Glad the excellent Piccadilly Records followed my instructions on it. This is my favourite single Poly-Rythmo album with an absolute monster final track (the guy on the cover, drummer Leopold Yehouessi is the dude of the group). Have fun with it!
And thanks for all your contributions to N&G over the years. The WH Lung from your AOTM thread is still one of my best ever discoveries from here and gets a lot of spins. Also, it was fun for an Oldham fan to post something close to Ice Station Zebra. Merry Christmas!

I also bring news of my own Santa. I'm away in the sadly not so cold or snowy wilds of Norway (still beautiful though). My Mum sent me a pic of this - thanks for the 
Santa. I remember loving this when it came out but don't have any Kiwanuka in my collection so happy to fill that gap. Cheers!

Hello Not Secret Santa,
My Santa and I got late to the party but still on time to make a pair. I picked my Santa's package and, once again, I am amazed at how lucky I am to have such great Santas year after year.
I have all Khruangbin records and was missing this one. Strike! I am always curious On what is being played out there but time has been very limited in the last years. Ireland has been one of the most exciting countries, thanks to @Joe Mac, so it's great to have a copy of the next big thing coming from Guiness' lands. Strike again. My love for Japanese music, mostly jazz, is known around here. Though, I am giving enough time to other genres so to have an Hosono's record to start a new rabbit hole is more than welcome. Third Strike!

Well by a simple twist of fate - I turned out to be your Santa - This actually was record number 2 and so I’m hoping u have another also waiting as that was sent earlier. It was via an online trader I was unfamiliar with and didn’t provide any tracking. I’m sure I can fix this if it has not arrived though ! I’m also hoping that will be a first listen for you !

I might have been very VERY good this past year because my (not) Secret Santa @Skalap sent me an amazing package! The Three blind mice TBM-1 Kosuke quintet repress and the incredible VMP Gospel box set. I’ll have few hours of listening ahead of me and I’m looking to every single minute of it! Extremely grateful to this vinyl community and especially to our incredibly generous Portuguese/French friend @Skalap! Happy Christmas and great start of the year to you all!

OMG, don't follow VMP at all these days but that boxset looks so sweet! Been on a major gospel/gospel soul tear in past few years so will have to check that out.

I resisted it at first -- I don't know if I need that much jesus in my life tbh -- but came around and picked it up during one of the big sales; it's well worth the trouble and if you dig it, you can find them on sale on ebay for not too much more than retail. i think most of it is available on spotify if you're curious about it

Cheers - I'm going to check it out. What's retail? I can see a couple of copies in the UK for £70ish, which seems decent (I guess it ended up in the swaps?) Edit: I see it's decent price on Cogs too (there's a cheaper singles compilation that I'm going to check out too)
