Christmas has been a bit of a write-off for me this year as I've been down with the flu (missing a New Year's Eve party too) but I just had to share this in 2024!

I submit @Kris for being this year's MC (Master of Christmas) for the incredible generosity in my Secret Santa gifts. 2 albums (both new to me and I can't wait to dig in), a 7", a sweater AND T-shirt from her local shop, a stack of stickers, and a handwritten card! WOW.

Thanks again so much Kris, I'm over the moon with it all!

Edit: I totally forgot that it also include a wooden Christmas tree ornament from the Hudson Valley too (it’s hanging on my tree)!

Wow! What a roller coaster that was getting the package to you! So happy that it arrived safe and sound! I'm not very knowledgeable of jazz, so I picked two of my favorite jazz-adjacent albums. Cesaria Evora sings morna and the EBTG album is sort of bossa nova pop.

Did the Christmas ornament arrive intact? I was a bit worried about it.

Thanks so much @ByersVinyl - I finally made it to my Mum's to find part 2 of my present (and part 1 in its pimped parcel, which my Mum hadn't sent me). I know of Roy Harper but I've never checked him out. Super excited to do so. Cheers again!

Excellent, wondered if that had arrived but waited patiently for update. Hope you like Harper, went for an Album you likely wouldn’t know but one I love.

Cracking package from @ThePakoBuelna - the recent Japanese pressing of the King of Limbs, and a classic from Cafe Tacvba for me to listen to for the first time. The picture and stickers were much appreciated!
