N&G Secret Santa - 21

Big Santa over here just knocking it out of the park...

What a joy this was to come home to - I'm absolutely floored!

Red Clay is one I've been desiring for quite some time and this is the exact red ORG version I wanted the most!
Sahara was one of my most "almosted" records during my time at VMP, so I'm thrilled to finally have a copy.
Jazz Impressions of Japan is one I've been increasingly curious about over the past year or so but haven't checked out yet.
And the Julien Baker EP is an exciting "discovery" pick, as I know her by name and reputation but haven't really dug in.

As great as all these are, the included note and its accompanying art really brought the feels. Thank you so much!!

PS - Because it was the top record in the stack, Red Clay holds the extra special distinction of being record number 1,000 in my family's collection!

I picked up my Santee’s gifts from my local shop on Small Business Saturday but they were out of mailers and I’ve had no luck finding any and USPS is out of any size that would’ve worked without being extreme overkill. I’m going to check UPS store either today or tomorrow, might luck out and my local will have mailers again in the next few days.

I always keep the good mailers I'm sent just for this reason. Plus, when I keep boxes for potential records to send out, the wife thinks that my collection is in a perpetual downsizing, so win-win.

Same here. I had a stack of Whiplashes on top of the Kallax in my living room when my family came over for Thanksgiving this year - my wife didn't complain about it so I'm taking that as implicit approval that I'm allowed to hoard mailers in plain sight.

my sister-in-law just messaged me that she forgot she had a few packages of mine she had scooped while I was out of town, at least one sounds like I records I don't remember ordering- so if you shipped something Santa, sounds like it arrived!

I'm a bit scattered this year and wasn't able to ship out items directly, so apologies Santee. hope it arrives alright!

I don't know if you've seen what they are. I had to ship direct from a store (Plaid Room), as I'm away at training and shopping was a pain.

I didn't go super deep. Just two classics from two different genres. One is my all time fave album by my fave artist and I saw you had one of their albums (their best selling and a fantastic album too - hopefully only having one album by them didn't mean you weren't looking for more). The other is also just a grade A killer listen.

I hope you enjoy them.

I received my awesome present from @Hemotep today! Thank you so much!

Joyce Collins is new to me, but after reading about her, I think you picked the perfect artist.

The John Grant album is one of my faves from this year and I always love Louie’s singing (and trumpet playing)

Thanks again!

I'm happy they arrived safe and that you like them! I'd randomly come across Joyce Collins on YouTube about a year ago and really liked her Trio music. I've never been able to find the Quartet online but when I stumbled across this copy I was excited and thought I'd share on the hope it's as good as what I've heard!
