N&G Secret Santa - 21

I weirdly, for the first time, have a Discogs seller just completely in the dark on their side of the transaction. An item on my santee's wishlist was available. I submitted an offer, waited two days for them to respond and then just decided to buy it. Now I'm waiting for them to do anything. I may have to get a different item if they're still not responding. It's strange because they have several items for sale and don't look like a one-off seller. Does Discogs have something in place for when one side of the transaction falls through? I know I can eventually request a refund via PayPal.

EDIT: looks like I have to wait 4 days before alerting discogs - https://support.discogs.com/hc/en-u...-My-Seller-Isn-t-Responding-What-Should-I-Do-

How long have you waited for since you purchased? I've had radio silence for a few days before and might be more common around Holidays,

Since Sunday. But you're right, could be whoever still traveling or just not online for a couple of days. I would have thought I would have heard something by today at least. I have to wait two more days to open up a dispute with Discogs anyways.

Here you go !

This is super dope and ill assume my santa put a lot of thought into this !!!

Thank you so much , i dont think i can figure out who you are
Damn! Nice haul!

I'm guessing these were some of the reasons Santa may have picked them

Curtis - Live!
- One of the best live records of all time. Like - maybe the best. Top 3 at least. I've yet to listen to a live record that puts me in the club with the artist like this one. 10/10 - perfect record. Regular playability - perfect for all occasions. Also, if someone was going to own a Curtis album - IMHO - this is it! Buttery, smoothe, crisp, high quality recording, and just fucking fun. Pairs great with relaxing with your beverage of choice.

Hot Chip - Coming On Strong - For someone who has their fair allotment of Rap and Hip Hop, why not grab a European (London) artist whose beats are reminiscent of hip hop, yet present an entirely different flavor? This album, their debut, is full of everything. Not too poppy - not too fast - not too slow - and just the right amount of funky. A review put it better than I could - "utilization of American hip-hop scenarios in the context of the English slang is exactly what makes Coming on Strong such a unique listen".

I'm just THEORIZING these were some of the reasons why your Santa picked em'. I could be wrong!

My top 3/3-way tie for #1:

Bill Withers ‎– Bill Withers Live At Carnegie Hall
Curtis Mayfield ‎– Curtis / Live!
Sam Cooke – One Night Stand! - Sam Cooke Live At The Harlem Square Club, 1963

I'm only a little familiar with the Hot Chip album, but whoever @BazookaTooth's Santa was, they made some excellent choices!

Kinda funny, their site said estimated to arrive no later than December 14 so I had it shipped directly to you thinking the other part of your gift with a note explaining this would arrive first, but Fake Four was on their game.
You'll have to let me know what you think of the album. I went with it because you have such a diverse collection and I think this one touches on a lot of genres through Factor's production and Myka 9 is an amazing artist everyone should check out.
Look out for another package soon!
Yeah, this album is fantastic, thank you! It’s going to get a lot of spins. Surprising that Myka 9 isn’t more broadly known - amazing flow and cadence. Interesting voice, too - almost sounds like Isaac Hayes is rapping.
