N&G Secret Santa

HEY!!!

Santa came and have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive. Legitimately the happiest I’ve been during Christmas time in a while.

Got me the beautiful, new age Loretta Lynn and again beautiful Christmas music sung by Kacey Musgraves. It’s always been on my wantlist and it’s always been so readily available but, I’m glad you got it for me.

Also, as much as I ranted and raved about this Orgone record, I never picked it up and it was a welcomed surprised. Their track with Kelly Finnigan is my favorite. Honestly, this whole album is absolutely great!!!

To top it all, this sticker book is the best part of this package because I fucking love breakfast food. These are definitely going on my yeti tumbler.

Thank you Santa!!! I haven’t listened to Soup by Blind Melon before, but I have always wanted to because I have heard it’s great, and I love the first album.

Schlagenheim sounds extremely interesting and I can’t wait to spin it.

To my Santee, the presents are scheduled to be delivered on Saturday. Hopefully the reindoor make it sooner though...Chet got some new air yeezys that should help.

Just got the mail and had a package arrive:

I left my Secret Santa almost no music lists to go by (sorry), but perhaps they had seen previous posts of mine with my comic wall in the background, because this book I got ROCKS :) Never saw this one before and can't wait to dig in and read it - thanks mystery Santa!

We love Mitski, and this isn't one I've listened to much, though my wife loves this album (but that might be because it's got one of the great album titles of all time). Totally stoked to sync it up with AT later as that kind of shit is my jam.

Pavement is actually a blind spot for me, and I've tried to listen to some of the 'canon' big albums but it never clicked. I have never tried this one so I'm excited to try something that I'll probably like but would never buy for myself. I love going back over things I've passed on and revisiting them.

Finally, always happy to have more blues in my collection as it's something I like to listen to but never know what to get.

I don't know if you stalked me to know that I am a big Kojima fan, but love the stickers. I've already beaten Death Stranding and I love that it exists even if it's not for everyone. You're in for a treat.

Anyway A++ Santa-ing. I was getting nervous because I leave for a week on Monday but it got here just in time!

I got it today and it includes two albums I know and love (Weezer and Jimmy Eat World), and one from a band that I don't know very well, but am looking forward to getting to know! In fact, the Weezer was one of my first CDs back in high school, when I had to store my small music collection in the one place my stepmother would never find it- the bottom of my dirty clothes hamper. Luckily, I won't have to put this one under dirty underwear!

And, I know what I'll be spinning tomorrow! (Didn't have time today, because I had to take the kids to see one of them newfangled Star Skirmish movies.)
