Get lost! It’s not childish to expect to actually bloody get something you’ve put your hard earned cash over for as promised when promised. It’s childish to shut down someone being pissed off!

I hear you. I shouldn't have used the world 'childish', maybe 'self-centred' is a bit more appropriate (but I don't mean self-centred in a very negative way). I just mean that in a materialistic way. No shots taken at you.

Does VMP promise things though? if they still do that now, they're pretty dishonest as a company. I agree that you should expect something when a company claims that product will arrive in that timeframe. But, I don't know. I don't sympathise as much as I don't get frustrated when something gets delayed with shipping to me (clothes, vinyl etc). Sometimes I might be like "dammit, should've ordered that earlier before I lave to go overseas". But for me, I see that as a lesson learnt on my behalf.

I think my optimistic/forgiving nature results in me being like "no stress at all, take your time. no need to rush it".

Nope self centred is also hugely out. Justified is correct! I’m not sure you fully know how to use the word materialistic because it has no real application in this context. Also, great for you, but doesn’t it have its limits? I mean don’t you think 5 months of incompetence, lies and broken promises is a point where people have a right to be pissed of and not told to chill?

Yeah, I think 'justified' is definitely the better word. I just can't help compare in my head other people's situations, and I am materialistic and self-centred for not helping as much as I can - but I just think to myself how fortunate I am. So as a result, when people complain or get annoyed about these things, I just kind of think narrow-mindedly think in my head "just be happy you're lucky compared to most people around the world". I mean, that same phrase is used as an excuse for taking advantage of people, i know that......but I don't know. I think it's just that I've seen so much and have heard so much that I think like this.

Yeah, 5 month delay is way too much, but I guess VMP are always happy for you to cancel your order. But yeah, their communication needs to be more direct instead of being like "hang on guys, we have issues with Weyes Blood but still will try and ship it to you ASAP". VMP's communication is the main reason as to why people get pissed off and complain.

Yeah I come from a background where money is important. You work hard and earn it and so the possessions you buy are important and you give a shit about them because you know where the money that was spent to buy them came from. You expect a company who takes that money to treat you with the consideration that this deserves. This is a long way from believing that your possessions are more important to you than other people or hitting a situation where your possessions own you rather you owning and enjoying them!

mmmmm Very well said! I actually strongly agree with this because if I had a cafe, I'd want my customers' to receive the best value! And I feel like my personal trainer wasn't taking me as seriously so I don't plan back on going to him - and I was spending $40 for him to train me for 30 mins. OMG, you're so right Joe! Such an eye opener!

I need to seriously stop buying vinyl and just invest more into food and moving out of home and travel.

In addition, if you don't ask for what you paid fore, you are telling the others that they can keep being bad in what they do. When you expect and insist to have what you paid for, you are helping the others to do their best to give you what you paid for. It turns them better and that is how we improve and progress. If you allow companies or people to do not give a shit about you, you contribute to some kind of a global step backward.
