Needles & Grooves AoTM /// Vol. 4 - October 2019 /// Camarón de la isla - La leyenda del tiempo

Not so fan of the last singles that are going too much into R'n'B territory though.
Same. But I feel like she will be going back to a very flamenco - focused sound on her next full-length project. She has been hinting at working with flamenco guitar again on her IG, something she did on Los Ángeles, but dropped on EMQ in favor of a much more modern production.

somebody in the old forum posted the below for Rosalia.
It's a musician analysis of her album and it's a fantastic insight on how she built it with references to flamenco, as a music genre, and Flamenca as a 14th century epic book, and other music styles.
I believe she worked on the album with the producer El Guinch (of Alegranza fame), so the musical genius has to be shared.

anyway, the video below is seriously interesting

I just placed an order on behalf of @D Jilla at "Disc-Order" and took a screenshot of every step of the process. According to their site, the album will be ready to ship in 10 days and I will then be asked for my PayPal account. If it goes through, I will upload a sort of tutorial with those screenshots (don't worry @D Jilla, I will redact all of your personal info) so that others can place their order in that site. The record was €24.65 shipped, or €26.65 with tracking. I have my fingers crossed hoping it will actually work!

I just submitted an order as well, not sure why I’ve been slacking on ordering.

Cheers! ✌👌

Have you still not had a reply from Disco100?

Yes, they repplied that they would be trying to get some copies, but that it wouldn't be very easy, and that a repress was probably on the works. They said they would contact me in case they had any more copies available, so I'll keep you posted. So far Disc - Order seems like our best option, but we'll see.

I’m sure they’ll be fine and if they’re not so long as we buy through PayPal there’s always dispute resolution. I also sincerely doubt that a Spanish business is collecting the addresses of a bunch of inconsequential music nerds to commit bioterrorism so we should be fine on that front too...

From what I can tell, I'd say disc-order is the Spanish version of ForcedExposure.com, so basically a middleman distributor that also sells direct to consumer (and has not updated it's web design since 1998).

On the other hand though, if I abruptly stop posting in a couple weeks, feel free to go to Madison.com and look for something along the lines of "Area Man Hoping to Experience Flamenco Music on Vinyl Instead Unleashes Anthrax Outbreak on Community" 😂

In case anyone is interested:

Not the cheapest record, especially when you add shipping, but it's a safe bet.

The seller has 4 copies... Maybe we could negotiate a slight discount if the club buys all of them? Any ideas?

One question to those in the US who managed to buy a copy from Disco 100 (I think it was @supahypeag and @dhodo, but I may be wrong): What shipping method did they use to ship the record? Was it tracked? How long did it take to get to you?
I ordered mine on Saturday 9/14. I got a shipment notification Monday 9/16. It arrived Monday 9/23, although was originally projected as 9/21.

My receipt says it was shipped "Correos (Paq Light)" and gave me a tracking number. The choice on the English translated site said "Correos (Registered Mail)" and was the only option other than pickup in store. It was €7. I was able to track it the whole way, although it was super vague other than telling me it was processed through Madrid and entered at New York, until it made it to my distribution center.

I ordered from Amazon Spain (whose supplier was Disco 100). Since it was amazon, I assume it was tracked but I never looked it up because I don’t speak Spanish and I wanted to limit my time clicking buttons in another language. Time-wise, I ordered it on September 18 and I got it yesterday. I think it was shipped by Disco 100 though because it was their stickers and logo all over the packing
