when I was in Spain last year I found it seemed like everyone there hates that song and doesn’t share the nostalgia 😂

it reminds me of, like the Time Warp, Kylie’s Locomotion and the Birdy Song, 80s school discos!

It was clearly a cash grab first and foremost, they covered/adapted/ripped of a bolivian song "Llorando se fue" and flooded TV & Radio with it in France, with an iconic music video at the time.

I think it was pretty big across Europe though. I have definite memories of this being number 1 and them being on top of the pops as a child!

This is the location of the Zuma Rock. According to Wikipedia Zuma Rock is a large monolith, an igneous intrusion composed of gabbro and granodiorite, that is located in Niger State, Nigeria. According to Discogs, Zuma Rock Records is a label founded in 2011 by Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and originally distributed by eOne (2011-2013), then by Sony Music Entertainment (2014-2015) and currently by Caroline International (2017->).
