Shesterkin is a very good pick for a netminder 👏
I had him 5th in my goalie rankings.

My plan was to take goaltending on #2 (#1 if Vasy was still there) and again on #3 or 4. Picking last kind of helped there since my picks were always back-to-back. I had Vasy, Kruemper, Varlamov, Shesterkin. Didn't think I'd have to dig deeper and that was right.

I had a similar philosophy going in. I wanted H-buck. I know he makes a lot of saves and is going to start. Then I just wanted someone who was going to play most of the time.

I thought about drafting a top defender in the 2nd, but basically wanted to make sure i had a keeper and upper-tier defender after 4 rounds. Was hoping Hedman would slide back to me in the 3rd but Teefer snagged him just before my pick.

Come to think of it, I had Hellebuyck above Shesterkin too, so he went before my #3/4 too.
 
Well I'm beyond pleased with my roster 😀 and not just because I was gifted McDavid. I also managed to get two elite offensive D in Fox and Hamilton.😎 Both were high on my list! And even though I didn't get the goalie I had originally targeted, I'm happy with Saros who is arguably one of the most underrated netminders in the NHL. Just look at stats last year and you will clearly see 👀 why.
