The job position has been upgraded these days. Not only will it be 100 degrees but you get to wear a mask and gloves and sanitize each and every cart by hand!
I actually listened to a radio discussion on this last year; the host on the show said he doesn't return them because he thinks the employees enjoy the extra time in the lot gathering them. He said he loved that back in the 80s when he had a grocery store job. Near as I could tell he was being serious...he was lambasted by his co-host and callers-in.
What in the actual fuck is his problem? This is killing people and he decides to double down on it.
I want to go find every single Trump supporter and whomp them upside the head in an attempt to knock some sense/intelligence/reason/anything-resembling-human-behavior into them.
This has been a big problem in Alberta. A lot of our cases came from meat processing facilities with mostly temporary foreign workers. The workers were told they had to come in even after they reported symptoms.Essentially, no social distancing measures or employee safety measures exist whatsoever in meat plants or for farm workers. On top of that, the businesses have been very resistant to sharing information. For example, if or how many employees have tested positive. That information is not being shared with employees or management nor the general public.
The vast majority of these workers are immigrants or undocumented. Many of them are at the point where they are considering fleeing the country for their safety. Which could have a huge impact on our nations food supply chain if they can't maintain enough staff.

At least four states combined data from two different test results, potentially providing a misleading picture of when and where coronavirus spread as the nation eases restrictions.
