Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

Have you seen the “Shopping Cart Theory”? I feel like it relates to a lot of this. My grocery store parking lot is full of errant assho...err Shopping carts.

I have given the best side eye of my life to people that don't return shopping carts. Then I go get their shopping cart and put it back myself, still side eyeing the hell out of the selfish nitwit fuckwad assface.

I clearly have feelings about this.

Yes, but I will give a pass to anyone that is over 7 months pregnant and/or has a child with them who is unable to walk. Other than that, be a good person and return your shopping carts!

What in the actual fuck is his problem? This is killing people and he decides to double down on it.

I want to go find every single Trump supporter and whomp them upside the head in an attempt to knock some sense/intelligence/reason/anything-resembling-human-behavior into them.

Oh, well I would have already asked her if I can take her cart for her. Yes, such people are exempt from the Te5 side-eye-from-hell.

Several universities made the call today that they will be resuming in person classes for the fall semester. However, they they will be ending in person classes early.

Currently models show a spike / wave appearing in December and lasting through the winter. The universities are planning on ending their fall semester in person classes by mid November and move back to online.

President Donald Trump has redoubled his criticism of the World Health Organization, threatening to permanently withdraw funding and cancel US membership even as it deals with a devastating global pandemic.
In a letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday, Trump bemoaned "repeated missteps by you and your organization" and said he would permanently halt financial contributions if the WHO does not "commit to major substantive improvements in the next 30 days." Trump temporarily suspended funding to the organization last month.

I actually listened to a radio discussion on this last year; the host on the show said he doesn't return them because he thinks the employees enjoy the extra time in the lot gathering them. He said he loved that back in the 80s when he had a grocery store job. Near as I could tell he was being serious...he was lambasted by his co-host and callers-in.

my first job was at a grocery store as a bagger/cart collector. Clearly, that jerk hasn’t has to fetch carts in 110 degree heat on a Saturday afternoon. I remember after my first round, I would go stand in the freezer for like 10 minutes to cool down.

I side eye plenty of people who don’t return their carts but I know there are some people that aren’t as able bodied to do that extra step.

I also worked as a grocery store bagger and cashier. I started out as a cashier but then swapped to a bagger/service clerk/cart collector because I hated standing at the register all day and I could get more hours in the other job. I did like going out and getting carts but not when it was raining, cold or snowy, or incredibly hot in the summer. I also stood in our walk in freezer to cool down in the summer, or most days because I would walk around a lot in that job. Getting carts was a great way to kill some time though, but it was annoying when someone left a random one really far away.
