I think I am getting this one through Tips Record Club. Can’t wait! The new Trombone Shorty is the first album that resembles his live show.
Pusha T with another instant classic
Man, this Pusha T is something special. FEROCIOUS.
Glad you were able to check out Undeath Admittedly, I still prefer their 2020 debut, but this is still a strong follow up. Also, I completely agree with what you said about the relevance of KLO's new album. I'm enjoying the emoji rating system this yearOnly listened to new(ish) music on Friday and Saturday. Spent Sunday at work listening to a few streams of records I bought this past month including Sun Ra's Lanquidity, which was stellar.
- Let's Eat Grandma - Two Ribbons [I'm gonna say it: so far, pop album of the year. Yup, no typo. The context behind the making of the album contributes massively in making it a memorable synthpop/electropop journey. I love that the halfway point of the record ("Half Light," aptly named) ignites a shift in the record's timbre without the core allegory/messages losing focus]
- Tigran Hamasyan - Standart [solid jazz record]
- Georgia Harmer - Stay in Touch [a mix of Danielle Durack and early era soccer mommy, to my ears. Winning formula]
- Jane Inc. - Faster Than I Can Take [for the most part, quite interesting. An admirable art pop effort better than last year's offering. A few dud tracks keep it from the high tier]
- KMRU & Aho Ssan - Limen [deliciously noisy, just the way I had hoped. This reminds me that I forgot to post about the KMRU, Fennesz, and Patricia Wolf concert in the Upcoming/Recent Shows thread, need to do that before year's end!]
- Kelly Lee Owens - LP.8 [not quite the level of Inner Song or self-titled, but should not be overlooked. Probably would've had more emotional impact if released during the early stages of the pandemic]
- Undeath - It’s Time… To Rise From the Grave [thanks for this, @musicjunkiegreg]
- Honeyglaze - Honeyglaze
- Melody's Echo Chamber - Emotional Eternal
- No Swoon - Take Your Time
- Röyksopp - Profound Mysteries
- Tomberlin - i don't know who needs to hear this... [I can't help but hear the voice of Phoebe Bridgers here. The songs are OK, but relatively bare]
- Girlpool - Forgiveness
- Carla Morrison - El renacimiento
None. Somehow have been able to avoid anything too repulsive this quarter.
including Sun Ra's Lanquidity, which was stellar
This shirt is dopeLOL, I did that when I purchased the new one. Maybe I’ll buy a t-shirt or the $10 flexi-disc.

You’ve heard them? I actually really loved Warpaint’s last album, which nobody seemed to care much about. I didn’t even realize they had a new onearcade fire is appalling
the stereogum review had my hopes piqued but unfortunately it's a shocker - they've definitely entered the 'we're auditioning for the part of arcade fire' phase of their u2 career trajectory
fortunately new warpaint is super tasty
Nevermind, after getting about half way through it, I realized it is clearly written by a crazy person.Like the pitchfork review is for a completely different album, like possibly the demos?
