I'm pretty excited about Mk.gee

This is the first weeke this year that I am kinda stoked for new music. Ducks Ltd. the SY official drop of The Walls Have Ears, and New David Nance should be worth a listen. I am not super big on recent Alabama Shakes or her last solo album but NPR did a story on Brittney Howard’s new album that piqued my interest a bit also.

New Ducks Ltd. feels a little more jangly than Modern Fiction. Modern Fiction is obviously very jangly but there are a few good riffs on that album too. Harm's Way is slightly, slightly softer around the edges without any noticeable riffs (albeit after only one listen). There's no clear cut "18 Cigarettes" from this album, but the whole thing will probably grow on me after some time.

While I'm with you there's no clear cut "18 Cig" on this album, Cathedral City is my vote for top track, really fantastic.

You kinda scared me but listening to it right now and I think I might enjoy this one a bit more than Modern Fiction.

Agreed that their sophomore album is more jangly but it's also richer and the sound is more detailed! I think it's better than their debut 🤷

I guess my comment kind of implied it is less good but I don't know yet. Still so early and I'll probably listen to this album at least a dozen more times throughout the year.
