I only spun it once over the weekend but I actually appreciate the fact that they didn't just make another funky album that sounds exactly like their previous stuff. This fills a different need for me and is something I will probably throw on at a different time of day than, say, Con Todo.

I listened to it this weekend and feel very similarly. I also immediately went back and relistened to the first album after finishing this one.

I had this same thought. I only really liked their first album but I don't get the overwhelming hype around them. They're slated to play some pretty big venues on an upcoming and I worry how sleepy some of those larger shows might be. They don't have an "Arena" sound.
