New Music Friday!

Thanks to you both for this recommendation. This is something a bit out of the norm for me, and it's definitely gonna require some more listens. But this is damn good.
I wish I could remember how to spell his name. The funny thing is that I have an idea how to say his last name in my mind and I always think that but go rogue in the spelling.

Also, this might be my favorite album so far this year.

Time to start keeping track I guess.

Hey @Hemotep have you listened to this? Evidently, she was in a band with Grace Slick pre-Airplane and nothing she did after really went anywhere. She recorded four tracks for Cadet and…. I think this compiles everything she recorded. The first track is amazing. The rest is pretty good psych rock.
Thanks for the tag! I wouldn't have gone back otherwise and this is fabulous. I hope more of these forgotten women in music get rediscovered. This one really is stellar. I'm going to have to grab a copy.

I thought this was still about Kanye, and I was like why can't Lee pronounce West?

I listened to the Ambrose Akinmusire again. It's one you really have to immerse yourself in. There's just so much to take in. As I said before, this one is gonna take several listens (and this album makes for a long listen). But it is definitely something special, and one of my favorites of the year so far, too.
