I happen to like it and think it might be better than her lastNew Lucy Dacus is just fine
I had low expectations and I thought I should hold off on preordering the LP, but oh well

maybe it has to do with the stark contrast of the Lucy Dacus album, which I thought was sleepy, to immediately listening to something that has more energy. And I am interested to know what you consider a kick-in-the-face album to sound like!
jesus christ this Great Grandpa record is good.
I haven't listened to it yet (still at work), but planning to. And I am interested to know what you consider a kick-in-the-face album to sound like!
What about incorrectly spellling someone's name wrong several times....? @HollywoodImagine incorrectly pronouncing someone’s name several times after being corrected several times.
It’s like that.

What in the actual heck?! How is that even possibleI'm absolutely underwheled with it..![]()
You could say fuck, it's okay. Idk, just not clicking with me like The Turning Wheel did..What in the actual heck?! How is that even possible![]()
Despite being SPELLLING's most accessible offering, Portrait of My Heart doesn't sacrifice her unconventional and unpredictable nature, maintaining the uniquely magical quality of her artistic vision. This album continues her trend of delivering experimental songs with complex structures and fascinating instrumentation but I do agree with you that it's not as strong as The Turning Wheel. You could say fuck, it's okay. The Turning Wheel is a Top10 of the 20s for me.
Yup this album kicks ass!!!!This new Deafheaven however…
I’ve been waiting for an album to come along and kick me in the face. This has done it.
