New ultrasonic vinyl cleaner in the works: Humminguru

They do touch everything, but they use these white gloves that come with their Lintons!
Well I'll have to just use my grubby ELAC touching hands then.

I'll also just stand around and loudly ask anyone if Andrew Jones designed their speakers.

Also, I just learned from an August 2021 article that Andrew Jones is leaving ELAC... bummer.

Guess I'll need to buy some Lintons.

Bunch of white gloves creepers. Indiscriminately swiping their fingers across every surface while checking for dust...

Look like a bearded mime troupe.

Hang on a minute!

*looks in mirror*
*looks at hand*
*mumbles indiscriminately while shaking fist in the general direction of Toronto*

Curious how this is compared to my vpi 16.5. Also anyone have issues with static from drying too long?
I had no issues with static. @Crabbers did you have static from wiping down with a microfiber to knock down the last few drops of remaining water?

I didn't even use my Milty after cleaning FWIW. Even after spinning there wasn't the usually minor static cling feel from the vinyl.

Yep, I like my rustic hickory Dirty Weekends. I did, however, fall prey to the MoFi tt peer pressure. And the Grado Gold3 peer pressure. And the Darlington Labs phonostage peer pressure. BUT NOT THE LINTONS, THAT"S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE!

Yeah I found the zu really interesting and the soul supremes were tempting but in the end because they sell direct the cost of shipping and customs made it a bit rich for me.

The thing with all these products that makes them go like wildfire is that due to the size of the community we kinda all know and trust each other’s taste in gear. Plus they’re all actually really good products too lol! Even the ones that we might not like aren’t bad we just all have our little quirks!

Back in my day, the ELACS were all the rage. I just never forked over the cash for the next hot ticket item. I do regret not grabbing the Lintons before they went up though. Even though I have no room to put them where I am currently.

Honestly all the feedback on the Elac’s is really positive and if you’ve the right system I’m sure they’ll sound fantastic. They need a little power so they’re probably not right for anyone running tubes but I’d not sniff at them at all! Plus they’re kind of a different beast to the Linton’s, as an actual bookshelf speaker the Denton is probably a fairer comparison.
