I live in the area, and I can't say I heard much about him in the media over the last 9 months. It's weird to hire such a strong media personality only for him to be buried in the background afterwards. I suppose youth development would not make much news, but still.

Melnik's gift to society was hiring him and giving him the office in the basement of the Canadian Tire Center. Unfortunately, the janitors were doing some spring cleaning and mentioned their find to the new management. Like the start of any good horror film, new management didn't understand the situation and opened the basement office door, to the detriment of all humanity.
