NHL Thread Because There Isn't An NHL Thread

Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme will be back behind the bench for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Friday night.

Ducharme had been in isolation for 14 days after testing positive for COVID-19. The bench boss' positive result came after Game 2 of the club's third-round series versus the Vegas Golden Knights.

"I don't think the last two weeks changes what it means to me," Ducharme said, according to NHL.com's Nick Cotsonika. "That's everyone's dream, to be playing or being involved in a Stanley Cup Final. I'm just so happy to be back."

Assistant Luke Richardson took over head coaching duties in Ducharme's absence and guided Montreal to its first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 1993, defeating Vegas in six games.

Ducharme replaced Claude Julien as the Canadiens' head coach midseason.

The Habs trail the Tampa Bay Lighting 2-0 as the series shifts to Montreal.

I'm all about public health safety and don't really know the vaccine rates 4r friendly neighbors up north but we were very dominant in the Stanley Cup last year with no fans in attendance I really feel like it was a disservice to the team to not allow more fans in the arena

Can’t decide if I should be mad or just disappointed. This is about to either be the worst (sweep) or greatest (habs comeback) final…either way I hope the league imposes some rule about player eligibility for playoffs.
If we weren't the best team in the league for a good portion of the season without Kucherov this would be a blemished situation for sure

This is an issue with injury faking and I'm not sure how they address it. It's basically the blueprint to hide salary so you can add extra players at the deadline. It's legit if the injury is real. It's suspect when the player could have played before the playoffs but he's held back so the team doesn't go over the cap.

If I'm wrong here my bad, but I'm pretty sure he beat the recovery deadline on his surgery to be ready for the playoffs
