A lot of Modest Mouse songs explore elements of knowing and being (epistemology and ontology), and "Never Ending Math Equation" is a great example of this. It's not so much a song wondering who we are and why we're here as omne saying that we can't even answer those questions if we wanted to.

This morning I was listening to Live at Massey Hall on Spotify when I opened this thread, and Journey Through The Past was playing, which fits the prompt nicely. Since I don't have that on vinyl, I'll spin this that also has it.
