Well, they just have to be >= to the price, right? Canceled immediately and Shook My Money Maker.
Technically, 3 items that are the same price saves you the most money. But if they are close enough the difference isn’t much at all.

but what if you are the person trying to get that Lee Morgan... (e.g. I can still cancel the whole order if the cancel 2 doesn't work, right?)

Edit: I did it. It worked!
Nice! I had some trouble last time so I avoid ordering 3 of the item I want and just find similarly priced items. Good to know it works though!

So basically if I have 3 albums for $42 and I cancel 1, I get the full credit for the one I cancel and then get to keep the discount of the free album? If I cancel 2 what happens?

Edit: Figured it out. 5% extra off if you have a Target card. I assume they will charge the card for the full amount and then credit the rest back after a few days?
Yep! Essentially the weird way it’s taken off is that they take the amount of the lowest priced album, divide it by 3, and give you that amount off for each album. So if you buy 3, $45 albums, you’d get $15 off on each. If you cancel 2, you still get the $15 off the last item. that’s why it’s best to buy 3 items at similar prices.

If you buy more than 3, just make sure they are all similar price. If not, place 2 separate orders.

Target places a hold on your CC for any pre-orders and that hold renews every 30 days until it ships then you are charged. If you have a CC that expires before the preorder ships, it will most likely get cancelled.

for cancelled items that are in stock, you’ll get a refund in a few days.

Now let’s see who’s the madman (or woman) who’ll try to save $90 or so on a discounted 10xLP Lee Morgan box set!

Not for the faint of heart.

Ladies and gentlemen, @HuddieLedbetter

Got a bunch of stuff I’d been avoiding for a while and couple for the wife. No big ticket items though.

God Loves Ugly, Modern Lovers, Surfer Rosa, Amnesiac, Highway to Hell, Is a Real Boy, Notes on a Conditional Form, In Between Dreams, Live in Roseland, Good News for People who Love Bad News

This is probably the cheapest option for the Nickelcreek trio reissue as well. That's the most tempting grouping right now for me though this overall selection is much better than the last time

I got 2 PJ Harvey and the Dexter Gordon TP. All were on my wish list, so pretty happy about it. They didn’t have Is This Desire? though, so I will have to grab that somewhere else. I was hoping they would have the expensive After The Gold Rush, but no luck.

Really torn about that Neil Young since the high-res download would be nice to have, and I think Neil's site is the only 'vendor' providing it with purchase of the vinyl.

FWIW, while it is listed as CD, given the list price ($99.99) the link below must be for the deluxe version w/vinyl, CD, and DVD. A bit of a roll of the dice, but could be yours for $67 if it works out. Can always return if they get it wrong.
