Online Vinyl Deals

Thanks, I emailed them and will wait for a response. Like @MikeH i don’t reeeeeally need that box set (the 80s are probably my least favorite Bowie era, and I have none of the other box sets), but I kinda want both live albums plus some solid Re:Call tracks (“Absolute Beginners,” etc.). I’m half hoping they’ll tell me shipping is not an option, because otherwise I’ll have a difficult decision to make.
Yeah, this allowed me to revisit the 80s studio records and remember that I feel the same way about that era and I'd be doing it more for the live albums than anything.

I tried to resist but had to jump when I saw that Tidal Waves Pretty Purdie reissue earlier today, and I am glad I did. Looks like copies of that went pretty fast after they sent the email announcement, it's sold out now as are most of the records I successfully talked myself out of buying. Wish I hadn't just read here that they are still adding new stuff to the sale though!! 🥴

Just a heads-up to those who are mining the depths of the Rough Trade sale. I'd been through multiple different searches, and like others, noticed that new stuff seemed to pop up each time. But most recently, I've been searching by label, filtering for 'sale' items, and there seems to be a whole lot of stuff coming up that I hadn't seen previously. Granted, a good deal of it ends up being on sale only on CD, but there's still plenty for which LP's are marked down substantially. Just sayin....Keep on diggin'!

Here are a few that look interesting--didn't start keeping track until your request toward the back of the (label) alphabet!

Surprised this one isn't getting more love, a great collective of London jazz musicians recording live at Maida Vale for Gilles Peterson's radio show:

I also picked up Abbey Lincoln's Straight Ahead. Have been digging her Abbey is Blue release, and the backing band for this one includes Max Roach, Coleman Hawkins, Eric Dolphy, Hal Waldron and others.

i was gonna post that MV4 but i think a lot of people have it already!

some other interesting pressings:

@scotthilk - aren't you a reggae fan? these next 2 might interest you if you don't have them already

welp....the sale got me. i went through all the listings by label and picked up that Fleetwood Mac box, some Neil Young and the MOV pressing of Monkey Man.
Just bit that apple for the second time--bigger bite, too. Nothing earth shattering, but some stuff I think it will be fun to listen to, like Caroline Shaw and So Percussion, James Yorkston, Meat Puppets, Fruit Bats....

Hahahaha! I guess that would be hard to deny.
This you?
