I would steer clear at any price, as the reviews are accurate. The mastering sounds squashed and distant, with zero punch. The pressing I received also had some really bad distortion in parts that cleaning couldn't fix, so I returned it for a refund.

If it is the 2021 version, I have it and its a little dull/flat sounding. It's not terrible and is certainly listenable, but it definitely could have been better done. I'd say it's worth it sub-20. Still a kickass album.

I would probably just wait for a repress. This one and Crash seem to go in and out of print semi regularly.

Grabbed this yesterday for $30 at Newbury comics. They are out there! Agree with @TenderLovingKiller® that it should probably get a repress soon or can probably find it somewhere. It does sound great though!

Yea I did think it wouldn’t be easy to find but there it was yesterday! They had some good stuff so maybe it’s unique to that one store. I feel like it will repress though. same thing happened with crash—it was real expensive then popped up at a bunch of places a few months ago.

I just received my last batch of three LPs today. However, two of them were opened and one missing the download card. Has anyone else received records from Rough Trade that seem to be either used or in-store play copies?

I got a couple that were a little worn, but I figured they were probably sitting in the warehouse for a while rather than used previously.

2 damaged items. My Squrl album was creased up, but they said they were out of copies, so they sent me a 20 or 25% discount. On a sale item, that amounted to a couple bucks. My Maston - Darkland album showed up on its own and only arrived a couple days ago. Shrink starting to peel, slight creases in sleeve, banged corner.

Man…I used to like RT. Their store was walking distance to me so I could get stuff shipped to the store for free and pick it up. They had an awesome little venue there too, always had autographed newer albums for no markup and were generally nice people that worked there. Sucks that it’s fallen off so hard.
 
On closer inspection, one of my records may not have been opened, possibly just from a label that doesn't use cellophane. The "missing" download is one of those codes on a sticker on the inner sleeve, kind of easy to overlook. The other definitely was an opened item, though.
