Online Vinyl Deals

This is a site under the DirectToU, LLC umbrella (Popmarket, Deepdiscount etc.). I saw it posted on a movies forum but they also have a decent amount of vinyl as well but it's mostly just soundtracks. There's a decent amount of Waxworks, Mondo, Video Game imports etc. There's a lot of overpriced stuff but also some things that rarely go on sale. I grabbed the new Killer Klowns along with the Mondo release of Profondo Rosso and threw in a movie pre-order. It should be good until the end of August. The discount obviously works best if you can get a order total as close as you can to that $100 threshold.

Agreed, or pre orders.

This takes the Ace Attorney boxset down to 105 shipped which is the lowest I’ve seen it by a good margin. Ghibli OSTs are tough to find discounts on too.
 
It didn't have what I needed but that site made me realize that Mondo reissued some stuff I wanted that's not on this site. Has Mondo's shipping always been $9??

Yep. Occasionally on their drops they'll forget to turn off the free shipping they have for the prior day's drop (usually a merch type item) and you'll get it for free before they realize it, but otherwise that's about right. I usually save up Mondo wants to pair with a likely to sell out drop to save on shipping.

That might explain it, i've ordered from them in the past but dont remember it being this high - In fact was probably free shipping.
Do you have to buy the drop item to qualify?

I think it's a mistake when it does apply tbh, but a lot of Mondo stuff does sit around so if I want something that is just sitting, I'll wait until I need to buy something quick to spread that nine bucks over two or three albums as opposed to one.

The thing with the drops is that Mondo has "vinyl only" shipping as well as other shipping since they'll send bulky and oddly shaped goods (posters, mugs, figurines, etc.). So the most recent time I ended up with free shipping, the Tuesday "drop" was some drastically pricy Jaws tiki mug they had free shipping on and the Wednesday drop was the Lightyear soundtrack...but they didn't turn the Tuesday drop free shipping off until a few minutes after the Wednesday drop happened, so it shipped using the Tuesday rule. That was their technical goof but they didn't charge me after the fact.

Otherwise, even if you get the drop it'll still be the same shipping as if you didn't, it'll just be over multiple albums (2 albums was 9.85 last time I paid for shipping)

i picked up the Unity and Preach Brother BN classics and Gerald Wilson TP. The Kenny Burrell tone poet and Grant Green - Feelin The Spirit TP that are on preorder are awesome. I love For Django by Joe Pass as well. Not sure what else they have in the sale but those are off the top of my head!
