I lol'd at $8 shipping for Media Mail on the Alice In Chains release on reddit and i got a half dozen armchair economists telling me about how ACKSUALLY it's fair and broke down a bunch of out of their ass data about supply costs, the wage of the working man, etc. One guy acted like it was unfeasible that anyone like the distribution arm of Columbia Records could get better prices on mailers than he could.
anyway no it doesn't cost anywhere close to $10-12 for media mail and it's the modern "shipping + handling" scam

Part of me wonders if this is just the CD given it's sold by 'bestcdjoint' and you can't sniff the vinyl cost close to this.

i had this happen once -- ssame record, actually, but for $9. I wound up with the CD and they refunded my $ when I complained.
