Online Vinyl Deals

Speaking of Newbury and vinyl deals, here's my regular PSA to occasionally look through all their vinyl sorted by ascending price (low to high), as they change prices frequently enough and sneakily enough to where real gems (many exclusives) can be had for notta lotta money.

I don't know what kind of pricing sorcery or automatic tool they have that does this, but I always pop-in once a month (and especially around sale times) to see how some records have risen and fallen in price. My last order last fall was ~ 8LPs for $100.
a bunch of thee osees in the 10-14 range, as well as this absolute latter-day gem from camper van beethoven: New Roman Times Expanded 2LP

I'd put up "I am talking to this flower" and "that gum you like is coming back in style" against any of their classics

Target preorders are usually pretty below MSRP. I think I shared the JD preorders here and I think they are something like $30 less than the price VMP charged….each.
right, the target preorders were i think $25? so, 3 JD titles for $50? straight up hell of a deal if you're into the JD titles....

There is a Reddit "blackout" today. Protesting something. I don't recall what it is. But I bet that site will be public tomorrow.
lots of subs have gone dark to "protest" Reddit's changes to their API policies that essentially kill third party apps, with the hope that if the biggest subs go dark, it'll kill traffic to Reddit and Reddit will magically have a change of heart and allow the third party apps to continue existing

I doubt that’s their goal. It’s like any other protest. Just because it won’t change Reddit’s minds doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile. Gotta resist the evil empires even if it’s an act of futility.

That store staff is awesomeness! Great store to buy online. Maybe I'll make it to the brick and mortar one day.

I agree! Hands down the most consistent customer service and vinyl packaging today imo.. I still remember the first time I contacted customer service and the persons name was the exact first and last as my sister which isn't super common at all so that threw me tf off but now they're basically my vinyl Familia anyways 🥲
