Elvis Costello & The Attractions "This Year's Model" (1978 Radar; 2010 MOFI reissue)
The riff in "Pump It Up" is so catchy that everyone seems to want in on the action. I'm not even going to post "Pump It Up" for comparison, the similarities are so obvious.

The guitar solo in "What I Am" cops the effect filter from the Grateful Dead's Estimated Prophet exactly.

I'll never forget the first time I heard The Hindu Times by Oasis... it took me a few minutes, but then I realized there was a part of it that sounded exactly like Stereophonics' song, Same Size Feet, from their debut album, Word Gets Around.
