It looks like Niantic is back to requiring you to be in person and select cities for events this month Pokémon go tour is in person only with the only location in the United States being Los Angeles. You cannot play remotely or have any special research test if you are not in Los Angeles it appears the same will be true for Pokémon go fest this summer as well. I really hate Niantic. Let us play from home and not this in person crap

They're selling Pokemon Go to an even crappier mobile games company so it's only going to get worse.
