The 14th amendment is pretty cut and dry on this, but recent history suggests whoever's in power can do whatever they what with no consequence, so who knows. Cool country.

I would think it would have to be changed by Congress, I mean it is an amendment in the Constitution which requires a 2/3 majority in both houses then ratified by the 3/4 of the state houses to amend which seems unlikely. Then again Trump wipes out his diapers with the Constitution.
 
Seems like he's going to quietly at least walk back his tariffs like Mexico building this dumb fuck wall.
I'm guessing multiple people have explained to him like a five year old trying to stick his fingers in the electrical socket what that actually means.

I wonder if he might try to muddy it up by saying birthright citizenship does not apply to when the parents are in the country illegally. Or something along those lines.

The whole reason to do this is so someone will challenge it in court and then it can get tossed around until the Supreme Court decides to weigh in on invalidating an amendment.

Just imagine being a Jewish person - or a POC - working at Space X or Tesla and seeing this.

Fuck even before that my parent company invited him to a conference and I had a serious talk with HR about what the fuck they are doing!? They invite him again and I'm writing directly to the parent company.

But how far back does that go? If someone great grand parents immigrated “illegally” does that mean that none are citizens? It’s a slippery slope and won’t pass legal muster.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that they won’t try to deport people here legally.

Just like I still call it Twitter I’ll still call that the Gulf of Mexico they don’t respect people changing names so I won’t respect their name changes

As a southerner, it is the Gulf of Mexico and it will always be the Gulf of Mexico to me, regardless what dipshit calls it.
