This dog was just laying there in the snow literally face down. Snow staring to cover it like nothing was happening. If a dog is in distress it’s not like they are people pleasers and hide it to be polite.

The dog owner says the dog loves being outside, and Siberian Husky's are adapted to cold environments.

Neighbors keep calling the police to report a dog left out in the cold. Police keep fining him $1,000 each night they are called out for leaving his dog out in the cold.

Is this a cruelty of animals case, or neighbors harassing case?

The majority of Instagram comments seem to think harassment.

I'm unsure. I can't comprehend having your pet / dog sleep outside and not being welcome in the house. But I guess that is not as uncommon as I thought,

The question which strikes me is: how did the neighbors know the dog was out there? I'd think the dog was being a nuisance or exhibiting distress for the neighbors to want to intervene.

That said, I have such serious doubts about anyone who'd leave their dog outside all night; I'd be concerned for their safety, just generally anxious as I am when I leave my dog out for a long time.

Still that’s just a snap shot. A dog being out in the cold to play or go piss/shit for a bit is one thing, prolonged exposer to the elements can damage animals exposed skin also it’s tough to drink frozen water. So a dog left with no cover or wind protection for prolonged periods in sub freezing temps is cruel. Letting a pup play outside for a bit isn’t a big deal and the neighbors should probably chill out.

It’s definitely gonna get overturned using the same “States Rights” rationale that they used for Abortion. Not sure if this will be the specific challenge that does it but I am sure plenty of other states are moving to pass similar laws here shortly.

I wonder if interracial marriage will follow next?

The Supreme Court has already said it would take up the Oklahoma case to see if they can start providing Christian public schooling . It is gonna suck (even worse) living in Red States going forward for non-white, non-straight, non-Christians.

I still remember the exact spot where I was when Obergefell v. Hodges was decided. It was just a year-ish after I had come out and it was a moment that I felt that i was lucky enough to be born in the best time to be gay. I knew once Roe was overturned that this was coming but I can’t even describe how devastated I feel seeing the pieces fall into place for this to be overturned.

It’s wild that the powers that be are just gonna let the ball roll all the way back down again. The only reason to do this is to hurt people. It’s been a decade now Gay Marriage hasn’t harmed a soul. Spineless feckless leadership has led to this.

There are some republican and libertarian arguments I can understand but disagreeing with gay marriage just makes no sense to me. Like who gives a shit about it! What harm does it do!
 
It’s at moments like this that I remember that joy and pride are acts of resistance. This administration is going to attempt to squash that but my community has persevered in the face of ignorance before and my goal the next 4 years is just that. I may feel depressed now but god dam I will survive in spite of these fuckers like my gay forefather have done before

My oldest kids mom and her partner got married late last year (were planning on getting married later this year) for fear of this happening.
