Like I said, I would never leave a dog outside. A dog would be part of the family and in the house. But I know a lot of people see it very differently. For example, my step father's family. They grew up on farms and with the notion that a dog doesn't belong in the house. They keep their dogs outside along with other animals they own, goats, pigs and what not.

My mother's neighbor has hunting dogs, and keeps them outdoors in kennels exposed to the elements.


I'm sure that dog is fine though. Siberian Husky's are often used as sled dogs. And kept outside in the elements in Alaska or Siberia by most owners, not in a warm house.

You know what is the worst so far? It's that I feel myself being consumed by hate because of their hate. Hate breeds hate, and I hate these people with every fiber of my being. I think I'm a compassionate person who can forgive and empathize even with people I otherwise don't agree with. But I wouldn't feel anything but joy if each and every one of them dropped dead. I don't care if they have families who love them, I wouldn't care if they have some good qualities. And I hate myself for feeling that way. There is nothing redemptive about those who support oppressing the most vulnerable among us, be it humans, animals, or our environment. I loath this human scum and I'm embarrassed that we are the same species as these cowards.

When they come for people, I do not want to see the tears of those they hurt and the families they destroy. I want to see every victim of their hate spit in their face and resist to the bitter end. I think of Freddie and Truus Oversteegen and Hannie Schaft. I hope I will be as brave as they were. I hope when things reach that point that all the oppressed people will be that brave. Our young should not have to make these sacrifices. We should be protecting them so that they can live full lives, and I hope you other middle aged and older folks remember that and that we hold each other accountable. Don't let the comforts you've earned in your lives prevent you from doing what's right.

Gandhi, for all his flaws, believed that only a moral crisis of conscience could thwart oppression. But these people have no morals. They have no conscience. I do, however, think that many who voted for them are ignorant and still have a sense of morality that can be brought back to the side of justice. I can only hope that when the masses see the brutality and the fierce human resistance to this sickness, that they will feel ashamed of what they have done and rediscover their humanity.

Capitalism cares nothing for democracy and adapts to fascism with ease. Note how the tech companies fell in line. Now how every major retailer, except Costco, has quickly abandoned any diversity and equity initiatives. Note how that human shitbag Musk has doubled his wealth even as his companies have floundered. But perhaps the shock will be too much for a global economy and the dollar will be as worthless as the trash who own them. I would gladly let my retirement accounts become worthless if it meant that they would lose everything.

I know I vent this on here a lot, but even knowing that this was coming, it's still hard to see. My trans friends are terrified, my LGBTQ and Latino students are in tears. And I see people celebrating their fear with glee. How can anyone overlook that just because they are your friends and family? Cut them off. Make them feel the consequences of their actions. Don't act like it doesn't matter. It does. They don't deserve you in their life.

Fuck yeah, I would be surprised if I actually receive enough money to retire anyhow. They wanna burn down democracy in the name of capitalism. Well, the only reason I tolerate capitalism is because of democracy. Burn it to the ground.

It would take an act of Congress to remove a federal holiday. That won’t happen. The “History Month” designations vary on whether they are acknowledged by the government through legislation. Some are some are not. Regardless. If The president wishes to not acknowledge the months he can but that doesn’t mean other entities State, Local, Private may still decide to acknowledge the history in those months.
