Political Discussion

McConnell already signaling that he will “force” Biden to pick centrists for his cabinet or the Senate will refuse to confirm them. As if Joseph R. Biden was getting ready to stock his administration with a bunch of revolutionaries. But that’s beside the point.

Bro — we don’t confirm cabinet appointees anymore, remember? If you don’t want to put your pick in front of the Senate committees, you use the magic word “Acting,” and bingo bango, you have a new cabinet member.

Get it the fuck together, Mitch.
I know you know this, but if Biden tries to get around Senate obstruction by appointing an acting secretary like Trump has done ever since he gave up on trying to get his corrupt hacks confirmed, it’ll take about two nanoseconds for the GOP to (successfully) sue to get that tactic declared unconstitutional.

So, didn't Trump say COVID-19 would miraculously go away after the election? That it was just a political ploy by the health officials, democrats and the mainstream media to scare you.

All I see is more and more reports about cases continuing to increase to record levels.

It's going away as far as him giving a damn about it. That's why some of the votes for him are head scratching to me. Yeah, I get that you don't want another lockdown. But wouldn't a coherent strategy on how to minimize the spread get us that much closer to being back to normal? Nevada may go for Trump for this reason, a fear of further lockdowns. Do you think people are coming back any time soon if the idea is to just let it burn through our country?

Speaking of lockdowns. Trump is urging states to continue to open back up. Not close back down as numbers go up.

That fear you mention, I think is why there was a lot of turnout for Trump nationally. People associate democrats with lockdowns. And lockdowns with dictatorships.
