Political Discussion

If NV gets called then two news desks would have to call the presidency since they announced AZ (again, probably too early!). I have to think NV is purposely dragging their feet right now and we hopefully have a better picture of any one of AZ, PA, and GA later tonight.
Maybe they're waiting until all of the ballot counters are out of the building so there isn't an ugly scene with armed Trump supporters.

Did we honestly think Trump was going to accept defeat with dignity? I am enjoying the Twitter tantrums but I feel for people whos safety could be in danger.
Something will happen. It won’t be pretty. Lots of deranged people looking for an excuse to act. “Stealing” the election will be the rationale. It might not happen immediately but it will sadly likely happen.

They will. Absolutely. I was trying to engage with my dad (an uneducated white rural male) last night with some eloquent gloating and he responded with:

“Election Anxiety is going around, All this shit the Swamp has been doing for 3+years is taking it's Toll on sum, Most have guns and know how to use them from L O N G distance”

I don’t think they are. These giant western states have always taken their sweet ass time to report. Usually though it doesn’t matter so no one is paying attention. I bet when compared to previous elections they are still on schedule.

I am an unapologetic pizza slut. I’ve yet to have a topping or combination of toppings I would not eat. I do prefer red sauce pizzas but white is fine, too.
Pizza Slut Deborah has a certain ring to it.

A place near me does a crawfish pizza with onions, bell peppers, garlic with a spicy butter based sauce. soooooo goooooooooddddd

Looks like Biden is nearing Trump by 100K currently at ~102K. Should be in the 70K to 80K by tonight.

Just attended our 2021 benefits info session and heard of something new on Prescription Drug coverage that I have never heard of before as a change to our existing coverage.

Specialty drugs are no longer covered with our prescription plan. We need to enroll in a separate plan for specialty drugs if we are on any, or think we may need them in 2021. Otherwise specialty drugs would be 100% out of pocket expense to us, and would not count towards our deductible / out of pocket maximum on our medical insurance.

There are 153 drugs currently listed on the specialty drug list. Co-pays for the specialty drugs range from $75 to $1,000. A savings plan is available to sign up for covering these co-pays.

I'm not familiar with what the drugs are for, but I would assume most are for cancer or rare diseases or are biologics.

So not only are the Co-pays high, but to have coverage for these drugs it's an additional $20 a month plan I would need to enroll in.

I'm going to pass on enrolling and take my chances as I don't need any speciality drugs, but I don't like the sound of where this is heading.

What happens when more people start having to have plans like these? And those who don't have no coverage when they get cancer? That's not a great thing for our healthcare system.

Yes, our plan this year has stratified drugs into five tiers with different copays. It's substantially more reasonable than your plan, though.

georgia is so slow and it feels like the chance of winning is so unlikely that i feel like we could definitely be doomed

Lol. Daniel was a guest on my show a few weeks ago and, although we were both playing fake characters, we found a way to shoe-horn in our very real shared appreciation for 90s alt-rock and Christian rock bands.

I’m looking forward to hopefully good news sometime in the next 48 hours. The drip of no real news yesterday was...not fun.

His Marky Mark is fantastic
