Political Discussion

Hard to compete with seniority when you're 1,000 years old. The thought is stupid, and only used to put down up and coming progressives (something Nancy loves to do).

Speaking of that. Nancy endorsed Joe Kennedy the third for the senate in MA.

He was running against the Incumbent Ed Markey, who is a progressive and help co-write the green new deal with AOC.

Eds whole campaign was age does not matter, it's the age of the ideas that do. AOC encorded Ed, and Ed was the underdog in the primary in MA, but still pulled out the win.

That shows you where Nancy Pelosi stands on progressives.

God dammit I am so mad that people who voted for Lindsey Graham live on my street.

Looking out my drive we have a nurse who repeats right wing propaganda on her social media and next to them our newest neighbor.

He put a 4x8 Trump sign in his front yard where it was the 1st everyone pulling into the whole edition would see. I think the homeowners assoc made him take it down as he moved it to proudly display it in the back yard in protest. :-(

i have a Trump supporter on either side of me. One is coming over to help we with yard work tomorrow.
That comment was made because I saw that he was continuing his sycophantic bullshit last night. I'm really not sure what he thinks he has to gain from that. Him getting reelected is especially gross to me because of his pivot from "let's all work together" John McCain protege to a Trump fart sniffer. Oh well, not really surprised I guess, just disappointed.

Really Joe Cunningham losing is a bigger blow to me locally. That was pretty exciting that he won last time.

I’m convinced that there’s kompromat on Lindsey, you don’t do a 180 like that after a golf game.

Graham was a sound bite on the radio over here today, talking about election fraud. He is definitely a wrong ‘un. I’m not sure why the BBC were giving him airtime but then they do have previous, giving Farage a platform to spout his bile.

I think the BBC is massively spooked by the Tories hatred of them and constant griping about its perceived editorial bias towards the left. They’re so scared of being obliterated and stripped back to pure public service only that they’re giving any old right wing nutter a platform to avoid the bias accusations. It’s complete bollocks but the express and mail have built up a furore that makes the perception seem more powerful than the reality.

TBF Ed didn’t come out hard as a Progressive until Joe Kennedy primaried him. Also her job as being a leader of the the House Dem’s pretty much requires her to support her caucus members. I am not saying she is perfect but she knows how to get shit done in these extremely polarized times.

Also, the new Director General has stood as a Conservative candidate, so it's not going to get any better.
