Pre-Order Thread

I like this album more than the later stuff, saw them live a couple times during this era and man, their shows were fun. So much energy and teen angst.
I saw them the first time right between 2004-2005. They were on some Nintendo sponsored tour with a few other popular bands and in between dates they stopped by Oklahoma City and played at my small local punk club. It was awesome

Technically not pre-order as its currently shipping, but I haven't seen this before here: Capone Soundtrack by Score by EL-P of RTJ from the RTJ website.

man, i literally bought their previous variant of this album bc i didnt like the other color variants, and at the time i thought "ok, this newbury variant seems as close to the album artwork color-wise" and now they come out with another one that has better colors overall. 😣

Well, today was a hell of a rollercoaster.

Finally got shipping notice for Chet Baker’s “Chet” from Target! It’s been a long road to get to this point, full of twists and turns, and I’m trying not to get too excited because there’s still so much that could happen before it actually gets delivered.

In other news, after I told the Grateful Dead store to re-send Europe ‘72 since I never received it, I got a notification from paypal today that they refunded me for the record. I was thinking I might just have to give up on ever owning the record, but it looks like i also have a UPS notification from today that something is being delivered tomorrow with 2 day shipping from “gnarlywood” which I think is code for grateful dead (under a different tracking number than the one they originally provided to me). I kind of feel bad taking a $70 refund for this due to the delay and mix-ups and also am a little confused since no one e-mailed me (yet) to explain that they made this decision. I guess I’ll wait and see what actually gets delivered tomorrow and reach out to pay for the record if they did actually ship europe ‘72. Maybe it will just be a handwritten letter telling me that I’m not cool enough to own this album.

Gnarlywood is a distro center for WEA. My recent Lake Street Dive record came from there and my Rust Bucket and Young Shakespeare are on the way from there.
