Indeed, this Bowie live series has been a fiasco, especially now that more people have tuned into it. I feel a slight tinge of regret for sitting it out, but I know it was the right decision given my refusal to pay flipper prices. Heck, even at the listed price, with the addition of shipping and the box itself, we’re talking about $300 for the full set... which is much too salty for a collection of 1990s Bowie live albums. So, yeah. I’d love to have it, but not on these terms.

that's kinda where i'm at with it too. i had the chance to buy all the releases but a 90's live Bowie box for around $300 is too steep for me and I probably wouldn't listen to it all too much. I ended up picking up the last one and will try to get this last one but have no plans to go back and buy the others at the current flipper prices.

Testing the Limits of Fan Loyalty for sure. It will be really nice to have if one can get it completed but I wouldn't sweat sitting it out. From the minute BLA was announced you knew it would be costly and hard to assemble in one piece. There will be plenty of other post Bowie releases to collect down the road I'm sure. Hopefully, without so many hoops to jump through. Now, If I can just get Vol. 6. Not getting much else done today but page refreshes. :)

damn. must have been a small restock. they seem to be adding a few TTL exclusives back in one by one. not sure if they were replacements or what. i was able to grab Kaputt by Destroyer recently too so if there are any recent TTL exclusives you have your eye on, sign up for the restock emails--that's where I found out about this one.

This is exactly where I am with this, and if you want to see my Bowie collection, it's in the complete collections thread. I love him, but this was too much and I didn't like that it was split up. I have several live albums, and I don't spin those as much as the actual Bowie albums.
