Damn, that review is brutal! haha

Man Pitchfork is just the worst. Thanks for that reminder. This isn't to defend late-era Amy Winehouse live (the decision to force her back out on tour just as she was on the road to recovery is brutal and it showed at least in the clips I've seen), but there's still more value gleaned from that 3.1 release than anything Pitchfork decided to put on the page about it.

It seems the vinyl release at least has some new/different material than the CD/DVD item based on the limited info we have which is interesting.

Edit: Just to pile on to Pitchfork a tiny bit more. That Back to Black album that Douglas pines over? Rolling Stones #33 on their Top 500 of all time (and #20 on their best of 2000-2009 ten years ago)? Here is Pitchfork's opinion and review of it

Like honestly though, read that without seeing the score and guess what the score is? Never would have guessed it. Because why would a review want to communicate any details on quality outside of a score?

This is an awful lot of fun. Also, I really need to learn this dance.

Wow, what a song. I ordered this based on that song and video. I don't know anything about Jungle and I have been resisting cold-buys for well over a year now...and yet this just felt so good I was compelled to click the buy button. I hope the whole album makes me feel this good.

Saw Amy just as Back to Black was starting to get massive airplay. She was supposed to play The TLA in Philly, but they moved the show to the larger Electric Factory. I hate to say, it was a terrible show. She was obviously totally drugged out and could barely stand up, much less perform.

I had tickets to see her twice. Once just as Back to Black was released at a 750 person venue. And then once a couple years later when she was huge.

Neither show took place.
