Pre-Order Thread

Everyone is naive if they don't think other reissue labels are watching this to see if this pricing range is acceptable or hits resistance

Of course they are. But I never thought this would be a cheap hobby and I have no regrets about making a purchase on a set I've been hoping for a release of for years.
If this pricing becomes the norm, that will suck and I will have to be more discriminate with my purchases, but Im not going to not buy an item I really want because of how it may or may not effect the market going forward.

I wonder how much of an impact Walmart’s exclusives are having on the overall delay of other artists having their albums released in a timely manner. I guess you can add Target to the mix as well.
Vinyl production is stuck in the same supply chain problem as a lot of other things right now, so it will follow suit that higher prices, lower supplies and delays will be the norm for now.

somebody on reddit claiming to be a record store owner made a long post about how indie shops are being greatly impacted by it when it comes to new releases/reissues the comment got some negative feedback.

Just got an email notice from Hyperdub Records about the Burial release from late last year. They confirmed that the production was slowed down significantly by the pressing plants being backed up.
