Pre-Order Thread

I see these have already made their way to Discogs for a hefty premium. I might try and get it online later on but don't have much hope of beating the bots. I managed to get Goats Head Soup Carnaby edition online though but that was just fortunate timing.

was hoping for one as it is the only stones album I don't own. Was sold out at a minute to six.

Blood Records just sent a delay notice about that Courtney Barnett live album:

Courtney Barnett - From Where I'm Standing

Hi everyone, I just wanted to quickly circulate an email regarding your order of the Courtney Barnett: From Where I’m Standing live record. Unfortunately the record was majorly held up during the mastering process which we were not expecting. We are now projecting that it will be finished and ready to ship towards the end of July. Just wanted to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone for your patience with this one, the pandemic has been throwing a lot of sporadic logistical problems since the start of the year and we aim to not suffer similar delays on any other records. Any questions in the meantime feel free to reply to this message and I'll get right back to you.

Oh well it will sound no better than the black, I’ll just pick it up down the line. €46 plus shipping was pretty woof for an album anyway.
Blimey ..not cheap... I just need the last four studio albums on vinyl to compete my vinyl collection...just been a bit lazy in grabbing the black so this would have been a nice gap filler ..I think I was very lucky grabbing that Goats Head Soup red Vinyl. Had no chance with the last two and I’d already got Honk on vinyl so didn’t bother with the red of that which is still on sale

Yeah I bought the honk before Christmas because i didn’t have it. Just need this one for studio. Then get hot rocks on RSD and try and pick up a good value more hot rocks on the cogs. Mad about honk, loons on cogs and eBay already paid more than double its list price!

They've increased the prices. I was looking at my order history and Goats Head was only £28.50 shipped.

I picked up that Carnaby Honk though. That is a cool looking package, I remember seeing you post that one in the What's Spinning thread and I just assumed it was a limited release.

I think it is limited it’s just clearly not as in demand as the studio albums 😂

It is a nice package though and the alternative cover art is kinda cool!

I don't even want to calculate how much I just paid in shipping for this thing. Bummer that "Trains" isn't included.

Dunno, but imo at least these three are solid picks. Nothing I'd rush out to get, but I wouldn't mind having.

I wonder how much of an impact Walmart’s exclusives are having on the overall delay of other artists having their albums released in a timely manner. I guess you can add Target to the mix as well.

somebody on reddit claiming to be a record store owner made a long post about how indie shops are being greatly impacted by it when it comes to new releases/reissues the comment got some negative feedback.

Yeah that was a copypasta tier rant by that guy. I mean I get his sentiment but the logic is based on the fallacy that major labels are corrupt for clogging up the plants for the top selling artists to the biggest demographic of customers and that they haven't always done this.

City Girl gets another project on Bandcamp. Don't sleep!
