Pre-Order Thread

What’s the deal with the Lorde album? It’s sold out on her store and everywhere else I look. There’s really no listings in the US either. Do we just have to wait until listings start to pop up in the US or something? I do want a copy but missed out in her store so was hoping to get an indie or just the standard black.
Clear vinyl variant is available from jpc.de, shipped to the US for just over $36. (Price listed is higher than what it will be in your cart with a US address.)

Her last album had a deluxe edition on dark blue colored wax and was available on Amazon for like 2 years after its release sometimes dipping down to around $20. Obviously that was about 5 years ago and things have changed over that time but my guess is after all the frenzy fever buying dies down they’re will be plenty of opportunity to on the LP at a reasonable rice.
Yeah, but that last album didn't have that butt.

Bull Moose has the golden brown vinyl up today, so we are getting variants of some kind.

Especially since Bullmoose put that sticker on the cover and the title, I can't help but think of the Georges Bataille essay called The Solar Anus with the heavy, but kind of funny, creeper vibes of the last line:

"The solar annulus is the intact anus of her body at eighteen years to which nothing sufficiently blinding can be compared except the sun, even though the anus is night."

Apologies to Lorde, but the brown variant is a bit much.

Bull Moose replied to my inquiry. US stores only have access to standard black or the Indie Exclusive on brown vinyl.

If you want any other variant you will need to order from the artist directly or from other sources that have an exclusive pressing.

Good to know. I have to feel like some U.S. retailer is going to get the yellow-orange-sunset-whatever variant if not the indies, who that retailer is probably the big question, given every other option she's had has U.S., EU, and NZ/AUS distro it seems.

orange/marbled is the UK indie exclusive:

Sold out everywhere that I can find a listing for a ship I know of that ships to the US.

The Sun Marbled Orange Vinyl is exclusive to JB Hi-Fi, a Record Store in Australia.

The Golden Brown vinyl was exclusive to a record store in the UK

The blue marbled was exclusive to Lorde's Web Store

Brown is the US Indie exclusive, and so far the only exclusive / limited pressing available in the United States outside of buying through Lorde, which is sold out.

I guess we just keep our eyes open to see if anything else materializes.

Is there a functional difference between the orange/marbled (UK Indie) and "sun marbled" from JB Hi-fi (they use the same mockup) or a difference between the "Golden Brown" (UK) and the "Brown" (US)? Blue Marbled, as you say, was on Lorde's webstore in all regions. Maybe I'm off here but I feel like it's just branding differences and the lack of a US distributor for the sun/orange one now, or she's aiming to make Discogs editors just quit. Both are possible.

If they don't have US Distro for that orange one it's gonna cause a meltdown on Reddit I'm sure.

The golden brown is definitely lighter and more gold in color than the brown US Indie Exclusive which is more of a chocolate brown.

I'm no sure about the UK Indie and the JB Hi-fi, they look like they could be the same comp. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lorde's webstore had the same selections world wide, but different inventories. The US shop sold out first and orders could still be made through the UK store.

There's a clear exclusive as well:
