I prefer her first one too. But years ago when I moved for grad school and I didn't have a working turntable or the money to get one cause of school, I gave a friend about 30 records. Youth Novels was one of those. He's moved a couple times across the country, got married, and has a kid now who just turned 3 and literally yesterday he was telling how much she likes when he spins that one. So it's in a better life now.
Saw this band in 2002 on the Jagermeister Tour. They were headlining it above Coal Chamber who didn't show up. Apparently CC got into a huge fight on stage the night before and broke up. People were starting to riot at the gig I was at and throwing beer bottles at the stage hands. Show almost got canceled on the spot but, and I'm not joking, these three little person dudes came out on stage and got the crowd to calm down by having everyone watch them chug bottles of Jagermeister and almost throw up and pass out. I think one of them was carried away by a roadie. They were the mascots of the tour.View attachment 105397
