These new shipping prices are killing my vinyl budget.
I just had to look up what budget means. Sounds like a scam.

Can't spell budget without "get"!I just had to look up what budget means. Sounds like a scam.
It should be everywhere now, I've had it preordered on amazon 8/25I have two copies of it already hah. I really love this album. I have an older pressing and then I bought one of those knitting factory Fela box sets that has this in it. I'm sure this will be available somewhere stateside for around $25.
Were any signed with household names like Roy Donk?yes! a $500 (before shipping!) deluxe box thing that he signed some copies with jazz names like jimmy smith and johnny dodds.

Pre-COVID my local had free beer on tap at all times (like just a kegerator in the corner of the store) - it was usually shitty beer like Blatz, but still. I spent a lot of time just poking around, beer in hand, listening to and learning about new music. Also there's something lost when I cant spend an hour or four flipping through the physical media while the employee selection of the hour gets spun over the stores soundsystem.
Clicking through the offerings online is just lacking.
PAUL BUFANO. DUHWere any signed Roy Donk?
Do I hold tight and see if it becomes widely available elsewhere for cheaper or do I just bite the bullet and grab it now to ensure I get a copy?Good news! The Walkmen's Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone has been re-pressed. Copies of the last press (2015) have been selling for as much as $125 on Discogs.

Also, since when did Bow and Arrows go oop? That used to be everywhere for like $12. I never bought it since I didn’t hear great things about the pressing. That could use a reissue for sure.Good news! The Walkmen's Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone has been re-pressed. Definitely one of the most consistent bands to come out of that scene. Hamilton Leithauser’s solo stuff is good too!I always thought that The Walkmen didn't get enough love during the 2000's Post-Punk Revival scene. They were so good.

My wife loves the Walter Martin albums. So great to see all of The Walkmen love! They are one of my all-time favorite bands, and I was lucky enough to see them live 3-4 times. I was also missing this one on vinyl, so this was a joyous discovery today.
I've really enjoyed Hamilton's solo material, and Walter Martin has been releasing some excellent stuff in a very under the radar manner. I'm pretty sure both of my daughters can sing along to every word of We're All Young Together. Such a great family roadtrip album.

Incidentally, it sounds as though only 3000 copies were pressed (already moving quickly), and it only appears to be available through their site at the moment. For $30+ shipped, directly supporting the band, it's a pretty easy choice IMO.Same conundrum. I think I’ll buy!
