For reference here's the numbered edition from their last album that I got Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Getaway it also came with a cassette of the single. It doesn't even say what the US version is numbered out of and it's still going for a ton. This album has Frusciante back so that's a big deal

I’m guessing he did this weird ass singing style as a one off and probably has some equally far our explainarion for it. I hope it’s not on the other songs…

Frusciante is my spirit animal. Anthony could recite Dr Seuss in Spanish over his riffing + harmonies and I’d buy it.
